Do you feel that all fashion looks or trends happen to resemble each other? Well, it is very important to understand that fashion is all about the details. At the end of the day, each and every individual following fashion will be wearing clothes. Unless you are Lady Gaga, you will be wearing fabric. Some may wear it long with others may wear it short.
If you take a macro view of the industry, you realize that there is a lot of duplication of efforts and ideas. Yet, everything works out fine because of emphasis on details. Bell bottoms that were very popular in the sixties have made a comeback. However, the generation that once wore bell bottoms has become old today. A new set of individuals are following this fashion trend and they have different ideas about the world and how they should live in it. Hence, an essentially similar fashion trend has been changed because times have changed.
It is important to focus on the subject of fashion rather than the object of fashion. Who is following the fashion trend? Is it a working woman? Or is it a homemaker? Or is it a celebrity? These specific questions will help you understand the minute differences and distinctions between various fashion trends.
The object of this exercise is not just to know more about fashion. The object is to understand and appreciate fashion better so that you can utilize it in your day to day life in an improved manner. Rather than trying to stand away from the crowd, you will learn to stay in the crowd and yet look different.
