Designer clothing is usually more expensive than generic or store brand versions. But don’t assume that this is such a bad thing! While it isn’t always the case, many times when it comes to clothing, things that cost more have a tendency to last longer, wash and wear better, and may even be something that can be exchanged or traded with a friend when you have worn them all you can.

Total up how many pairs of jeans you would need to purchase over the course of a year if they only lasted about five to ten washes. Then think about how long your brand name jeans are going to last.
